Today, during sixth hour (my PE hour), a helicopter landed in our school yard. There was a police car too and soon joining them was an ambulance. It was an astounding sight!

My PE class was playing tennis in the fenced in courts and when the helicopter started to land over half of the class migrated over to the closest fence to the yard. And at first it seemed like a random landing or something because nothing was happening. Some minutes later the ambulance headed over to the 'copter and soon came out a wheeled stretcher and men. The stretcher was settled in the helicopter and it flew off.

I was astounded, stunned, confused, and amazed at once!

Apparently, someone from my school got stabbed in the eye with a pencil. Who it happened to, how it happened, or possibly who did it, I don't know, but it was shocking.

There was a sting of remorse, but chances are I don't know the kid. It's hard to be sad for someone you don't know, but it certainly was a tragedy. I feel bad for whoever it was and I sincerely hope they're okay.

But man! I've never seen a helicopter land and take off just some ten yards away! It was AMAZING!!
